As an aggregator, Trellis pulls it’s data from every United States court registry and organizes them all-in-one easy to use, searchable database.
For litigators, Trellis is a goldmine of information and for a monthly subscription, paralegal research is at your fingertips.
But we’re not here to promote Trellis.
I want to share how you can get court records permanently removed from Trellis. Let’s look at sealed records first.
Trellis Law Removal — Sealed Records
If your record is sealed, then removal of your record from the site is easy.
Simply visit the Record Removal Request form at Trellis.law.
Then follow each of these steps:
- Enter your name and email address
- Enter the URL of the record you want removed (https://….)
- Tick the “Yes” box for the question “Are these records about you?”
- For your answer to “Why do you want these records to be removed?” simply write, “The court has ordered the record sealed.”
- Then upload the court order
- Tap the green button “Submit Request”
Trellis will review your request and if all of the necessary information is provided, your record will be removed from the website.
Trellis indicates they will send you an email confirming your record is deleted, but they don’t provide a timeline.
